Enrique Campuzano does not define his work as hyperrealism, since he takes reality only as a reference for his work. Campuzano transforms his objects, whether it be bags or paper, into abstract elements, where inanimate objects gain a life of their own. Set against a solid yellow background, Campuzano arranges in "Opus 709" a series of silk paper sheets in blue tonalities, rendering in detail all the wrinkles, shadows, and light.
