Gina Pellon is one of Cuba's most renowned artists. Graduated with honors from the San Alejandro School of fine arts, she arrived in Paris at 23 years of age alongside a group of artists that left the island in 1959. "Rostro Verde" is an exemplary work of her style. Her work consists of the portraiture of women, depicted in an abstract style and using color freely, guided by instinct and subjected to her interests.
