"Years of Danger" shows Humberto Calzada's interest in rendering Cuban architecture, using it as a symbol of his home country's current state. Calzada uses water to flood this decaying architecture; it is not a violent flood, the waters are slowly eroding the buildings, slowly wasting away what remains of the old colonial houses.
