"Arco II" reflects Ignacio Espla's interest in depicting the nature that surrounded him in Panama. Orchids growing on the telephone lines were a big inspiration for him, and he tried to capture the flowing movements of these in his pieces. Here, a curving plant, perhaps an orchid or bird of paradise, stands in contrast to a green background, also reminiscent of nature despite the lack of detail in it. It is a simple and direct work, where the focus lies on the delicate flower in front of us.
