Though abstract in style, Pedro Muino considers his work to be of a symbolic nature. Using small elements, lines, and color, Muino builds up "structures" that function as icons to represent ideas close to the artist's understanding of the world, of life. "Geografia de la Vigilia I" suggests a landscape, with a setting (or rising) sun in the distance, while a sort of monument is erected in the foreground of the work.
