Hector Tadeo seeks to portray the issue of overpopulation through symbols and color. His pieces are composed of the overlay of symbols like crosses, circles, little houses, roses, and shapes that resemble airplanes. They all allude to the growing cities, the changes in migration, and the problems with housing. A special icon for him is that of roses, which he uses to represent femininity, an ode to his mother, who worked as a seamstress, and who would sew rose appliques in some of the clothes she made. "Untitled I" presents two masses, two large cities according to Tadeo's concepts, that interconnect through a small streak between them functioning as a bridge. The colors create a calm environment, alluding to the harmony between societies once an agreement has been achieved.
